Calling in sick
for JKS temp workers

Should you have the misfortune of falling ill, you must report this to both your workplace and the JKS head office’s sick-reporting hotline at +45 70 21 07 50.

Reporting in sick must take place within the following hours:

On weekdays:
For work on day shifts that starts no later than 7 a.m.:
Absence must be reported between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.

For work on day shifts that starts after 7 a.m.:
Absence must be reported between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.

For work on afternoon or evening shifts:
Absence must be reported between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

For work on night shifts:
Absence must be reported between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

In weekends:
Absence must be reported before scheduled start time between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.

If, during the day, you leave your workplace due to sickness, you must always immediately contact your local JKS branch and not wait to do so at one of the hours set out above.

It is important that you stay on the line even if there is a long call queue. In general, the calls are swiftly attended to, and it will soon be your turn.

If you call later than within the deadlines set out above, your notice of sickness will not be considered timely and we will, unfortunately, not be able to pay sick pay for the day in question. This will also mean that you need to call us again the following day, if you are still sick. If you are absent due to sickness more than one day in a row, you must report in sick every day within the deadlines set out above.

When we have registered your sick notice, you will get a receipt via SMS, and we will also send you an absence declaration form by e-mail. The absence declaration form must be filled out and signed by you and subsequently returned to us in time for us to receive it no later than on the third day. If we do not receive the absence declaration form within the above deadline, we will, unfortunately, not be able to pay you sickness benefits.

It is very important that you report in sick within the above deadlines, so we can determine, together with your workplace, whether we need to find a replacement to take over the job during your period of absence.

In some cases, it might be necessary for us to offer the job to someone else in order to meet our customer’s manpower requirement. When you are ready to return to work, we will do our best to find another temporary position for you.

If you fail to report in sick in accordance with the terms and conditions set out above, your absence may be deemed unlawful. At worst, this may lead to immediate termination of the employment. It is not possible to report sick via SMS, mail or by telephone to your local branch.
